Story Behind the Song:
I wrote this song after a heartbreak. I liked a boy who I thought liked me back. This dramatic story begins with my best friend dating him. He was the first guy that I ever felt favoured me. I think inside every one of us is that longing to be loved and to be someone’s favourite. I sat in my living room, tears streaming down my face, asking God to speak to me on a cold winter’s day. I opened up my Bible to read a verse I had never read before – Psalms 107:9. “For He satisfies the longing soul and feeds the hungry soul with His good things.” That revelation hit me like a ton of bricks! I started a journey of looking to God to receive acceptance and looking to Him to receive love because He is the only one who can truly satisfy!
