Story Behind the Song:
I was on a humanitarian trip to Dominican Republic in 2010. There was a little girl, Melaney, about 6 years old who clung to me that week. She didn’t have a mom, and for some reason, we really connected. One night when we returned to where we were staying for the night, I took out my guitar and wrote this song for her.
